Danielle bags her place at top show
Danielle Gardham, from Haverfordwest, has qualified to compete at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS).
Thousands of competitors set out to become one of the coveted finalists at HOYS, the UK's biggest indoor equestrian event and the pinnacle of the domestic equestrian calendar.
Danielle, aged 18, has qualified Belle Vue Royal Prince for the Underwood working hunter pony of the year class at the event which is taking place at the NEC Arena, Birmingham, from October 3rd to 7th.
Danielle said: "It's my ultimate ambition and it's what I work so hard to achieve.
"Living so far from all of the qualifying shows makes it hard for us to qualify (usually more than four hours journey to each show), so we are really pleased."
The Horse of the Year Show hosts the finals of the most highly regarded national showing and show jumping championships alongside top international show jumping and celebrates the end of the competitive season in true style. From stunning displays to tense competition, HOYS is an equestrian extravaganza not to be missed.
Once again a majestic line-up of entertainment is set to complement the top showing and show jumping action this year.
Back by popular demand the Metropolitan Police will perform their activity ride, French equestrian comedian Joel Chacon will perform his Charlie Chaplin on horseback routine and, for the first time in the UK, professional Dutch dressage riders will present a unique Quadrille featuring beautiful Friesian horses from the Worldwide Mother Studbook.
The 2007 show will also see Pony Club mounted games teams compete for the prestigious Prince Philip Cup alongside other entertainment such as the fast and furious scurry driving.
Added attractions include the huge retail village with more than 250 stands, the interactive HOYS pavilion and the ever popular equine feature area where visitors can come face-to-face with a variety of different horse and pony breeds.
For tickets, call the box office on 08700 10 10 52 or visit the website www.hoys.co.uk.
Tickets cost from £23.50 for adults and £19.50 for children and senior citizens. There are discounts for groups of 12 or more and 30 or more. There is a reduced booking fee for all group bookings.
Season tickets, valid for every day and performance, cost £221.50 for adults and £181.50 for children under 15 and senior citizens.
