Young farmers get into fashion
 |
| Striding out: Kathryn Perkins, Matthew Palmer and Sarah Beynon in clothes by Sebry R and Hylton John. |
Pembrokeshire's young farmers were in fashion recently, when members took to the catwalk and strutted their stuff, all in the name of fundraising.
The Pavilion on the County Showground in Withybush was packed for a fashion show which saw 11 members model a range of work and leisure clothes from Clynderwen and Cardiganshire Farmers, with ladies wear by Sebry R, of Haverfordwest, and the men sporting casual and formal wear by Hylton John.
There was also a fabulous range of millinery on display, created by one of the models, Kathryn Perkins.
The fashion show was the brainchild of county YFC queen and young farmer of the year Emma James, who organised the whole event to raise money for the movement.
The event was complemented by cheese and wine, with the cheese donated by the First Milk Cheese Company at Haverfordwest, and a raffle which included some great prizes, such as a £100 voucher for Sebry R, a manicure and hair styling products.
The fashion show was a resounding success and has so far raised about £1,200.
