To most people, the thought of finding a new job, while exciting, can make them feel a little anxious. And the idea of using a high street recruitment agency can fill them with dread.
We're all familiar with the calamity of cocky recruitment consultants, who try to butcher your CV and push you for jobs you don't want, but are the gatekeepers of your dream job.
Richard Denny, of Denny Executive Recruitment, shares some of his top tips for securing your dream job:
1.Prepare a professional and honest CV - if you lie, you will be found out eventually!

2.Gen up on the employer prior to the interview. It's easy to do via their website and it will be expected of you.
3.Prepare and write your questions to ask at interview - it demonstrates the effort you have made in preparation for the interview, as well showcasing your organisational skills.
4.Selling yourself is showing interest in the other person and their company, not just talking about you.
5.Talk about what you can do for them rather than what they can do for you.
6.Always dress for the job you want not the job you have got.
7.Ask about training and personal development opportunities.
8.Make sure you meet the immediate line manager, the person you will report to - working within the right environment and with a team you gel' with is as important at the job itself.
