Junior Public Speaking
 |
| THE winning South Pembs team of Daniel James, Kim Brickell, and Nia Davies |
A GROUP of brave youngsters
found their voices and conquered
their nerves to stand up and
speak in front of a packed audience at
the Pembrokeshire YFC junior public
speaking competition.
Subjects ranged from a debate about size
zero models, one girl's love for her tractor
and a boy's moving story about how he
conquered leukaemia.
Vincent Morse, of Templeton YFC, gave
an uplifting speech about his battle with
leukaemia when he was younger, which
deservedly won him the best speaker cup.
The best chairman was Tanya Hancock
from Keyston YFC and Daniel James, of
South Pembs YFC, followed up his success
in the junior reading competition by winning
the trophy for being the highest
placed proposer of the vote of thanks.
Daniel was also celebrating with his fellow
members from South Pembs, Kim
Brickell and Nia Davies, when they were
awarded the overall team trophy.
Llawhaden YFC were placed second, with
Llysyfran and Martletwy joint third.
